Jamal Murray is all over the NBA headlines as he recently called game against the Damian Lillard led Portland Trailblazers. The Nuggets’ star guard had to sit out the whole last season healing from a knee injury. Many thought things won’t be the same once he returns. But Jamal Murray is shutting all of his doubters, haters and critics down while progressing on the right track for a successful return.
Recently, the Portland Trailblazers hosted the Denver Nuggets at Moda Center. The game was closely contested and head to head. But the Nuggets took over in the fourth quarter and registered a dub against the Blazers. They outscored their rivals by 11 big-time points and won the game at 121-120. Damian Lillard and the Blazers almost had the game in their bag but Jamal Murray had different plans with just a few seconds left on the game clock.
In the game, Damian Lillard showing his offensive heroics dropped 40 points, dished out 12 assists and caught 4 boards. But those weren’t enough for him to carry the Blazers across. As Jamal Murray who was limited to 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds stepped up with a clutch three and handed out an embarrassing L to the hosting team.
The Nuggets were down with two points when Jamal Murray received the ball from Nikola Jokic(33 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists). The Joker got the inbound pass but wasn’t able to run the decided play so he passed it to the all-star guard who went on to hit a step-back game-winning three-pointer while clowning Jerami Grant. He drilled the shot from down town and still 0.9 seconds were left on the clock. But nothing was changed and Murray won it all for his team.
