The Utah Jazz and their fans were left heartbroken once again as they suffered a loss against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. This was their fifth straight loss, they now sit 10th in the Western Conference just behind the reigning champions Golden State Warriors who have 5 game winning streak without their star player Stephen Curry who continues to miss out on the action following a shoulder ailment

There is a bright side to the Jazz’s losing streak, despite how upsetting it is for them and their supporters right now. All five of those losses—five games in a row—have been decided by five points or fewer, with the last three games being decided by a single possession. After losing 126-122 to the Spurs on December 26 in San Antonio, the losing streak began. They then traveled to Golden State, where they were defeated by the Warriors 112-107.  Here’s how Twitter reacted to Jazz’s recent loss

Following the loss to the Warriors, the Jazz had a chance to win the following three games, but on December 30 in Sacramento, Kevin Huerter nailed the game-winning three in the closing seconds.

On Saturday at home, the Miami Heat defeated the Sacramento Kings 126-123 thanks to a game-winning three-pointer from Tyler Herro. Tuesday’s game-winning layup by D’Aaron Fox in the waning seconds cost the Jazz a victory, 117-115.

D’Aaron Fox scored 22 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter to help the Sacramento Kings defeat the Utah Jazz 117-115 on Tuesday night. He also nailed a driving layup with 0.4 seconds left. At the final buzzer, Utah’s Lauri Markannen shot a long jumper that was initially called good but was later overturned on video.

On a foul behind the line, Markkanen scored all three of his free throws, but Fox drew a foul on the Finnish 7-footer and drove by him for the game-winning basket. The Kings held their breath until a brief review resulted in Markannen’s shot being declared illegal.

Markannen scored 28 points, going 15 of 15 from the charity stripe, and Jordan Clarkson chipped in 24. In the opening frame of Tuesday night’s home game against the Sacramento Kings, Clarkson recorded his 10,000th career point. The Jazz dropped their record to 19-21 this season. They will hit the road for 3 games from Thursday, January 5.
