Lebron James was in party mode after breaking the all-time scoring record on Tuesday night against the Thunder. He was seen bumping “I’m Dat n****” by Future. The scoring record just adds to his illustrious resume which includes being 4th all-time in assists. He also has the most All-star appearances all-time at 19 and the most All-NBA appearances at 18.

Love y’all, f**k y’all, now where my gifts at?“, said Lebron while giving a speech at his party after breaking Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s record. He hosted a party with his family and friends in a club in Los Angeles. Lebron has been a huge hip-hop fan throughout his career as seen on his Instagram stories. Fans on Twitter were commenting on how he actually got the lyrics right this time. The King might be very good at basketball but he is not the best at remembering lyrics.

Lebron has elevated his “GOAT” claim after breaking the record

The Lebron James vs Michael Jordan debate will rage on forever but after breaking this record Lebron has a much stronger claim. Jordan fans were all up in the replies to the above tweet with “Jordan better” tweets. Although Lebron has the all-time record, MJ still has the highest point-per-game average in NBA history at 30.1. Lebron is at 27.7 which is 5th all-time. However, Jordan only played 13 seasons in the NBA to Lebron’s 20 and counting. Longevity is Lebron’s strongest argument in this debate.

Lebron still has a few years left in him with many more records there for him to break. Although breaking this record has prompted many NBA legends and current players to crown him the GOAT. Comparing eras is never a smart thing to do, but when it comes to GOAT debates, it inevitably happens. Lebron himself has mentioned that he feels after beating the Warriors in 2016 he became the greatest of all time.

Michael Jordan and Lebron sit at the top of the NBA pyramid right now but the future ahead is very bright. With the league getting more skilled and talented by the year it will not be surprising to see someone else break this record. Although as of now, Lebron is immortalized in NBA history and will stay there for quite some time.
