“This is unfair”: Charles Barkley roasts Brooklyn Nets for Kyrie Irving ‘part-time’ return
Charles Barkley and Kyrie Irving
Charles Barkley also know as the “Round Mound of Rebound” is a retired National Basketball Association player who is also a Hall of Famer and a legend known for his great skills near the rim. Now after retirement Charles Barkley has stepped into the entertainment side of NBA as he now is a successful NBA analyst for NBA on TNT (Turner Network Television). He is a great player critic and the most honest person to say it without thinking twice as he picks many hot takes against NBA players every now and then.
The latest victim of Charles Barkley is Kyrie Irving as the veteran guard is back in the roaster as a part time player. Earlier Kyrie was banished by the team to play or even practice as he decided to stay unvaccinated and the city of New York made a decision to mandate a COVID-19 vaccine for professional athletes. But now the Brooklyn Nets have decided to bring their 29 years old veteran guard back in rotation for road games and the return was very convincing and successful for the Nets as they won against the Indiana Pacers.
Kyrie Irving in his return dropped 22 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists with 3 steals and 1 block against the Pacers as he lets the league and everyone around know he still has got it and can do it all day. Being a generational talent Kyrie Irving is known for the package he carries which includes every skillset the game of Basketball can offer from ball handling to shooting and finishing. Having Kyrie back in the league had a lot of fans around happy especially from New York since the Brooklyn Nets will now have Big 3 back on road but Charles Barkley is one of the name which isn’t really happy with the way Nets have Kyrie return to the league and play again.

Charles Barkley on Kyrie Irving’s return
Charles Barkley has never really been that good of a fan for Kyrie Irving so his hot take for the star returning back isn’t that confusing. After the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers matchup the insider crew at NBA on TNT took on to discuss Kyrie Irving’s return and when Charles Barkley was questioned about it he had a lot to say as he mentioned were the Nets were wrong and how unfair the decision of letting Kyrie play is.
Charles Barkley in his response quoted: “…I don’t think it’s fair. We’re on every night except Friday during the playoffs. If I said ‘you know what, I’m not gonna work on the weekend’ I don’t think that’s fair to you guys… Kyrie is a heck of a player but to only play in road games, I don’t think it’s fair to the game. More importantly, I don’t think it’s fair to the [Nets] team.” Not really holding himself back Chuck also threw light to the fact of Kyrie being un-loyal to the team as he made a political point by not getting vaccinated knowing he will not be able to suit up for Brooklyn Nets.
Charles adding to it also mentioned how the James Harden and Kevin Durant led Brooklyn Nets who currently are ranked second in the eastern conference don’t really need Kyrie to win it all or to be mentioned as championship contenders. Somewhere Chucks really made sense in the time he opinionated his views on Kyrie’s return. But the decision is made and Brooklyn Nets have allowed him to play on the road for the team so nothing really can be changed except for hoping that he’ll get vaccinated and be back as a full time player and contribute the most he can to the Nets.
