“I’d like to potentially own a team” Bobby Wagner makes a massive revelation about his plans after football

Bobby Wagner has been one of the best linebackers in the NFL for the past decade. His success came in one of the most dominant defenses ever seen in Seattle but after being released by the Seahawks, he now finds himself suiting up for the Los Angeles Rams. Given the big move, he’s been in the headlines quite a bit and he recently made quite the revelation.

Bobby Wagner finished the 2021 season having played 16 out of 17 games and made 170 total tackles which would’ve been the most in the NFL in every season since 2013 but was only good enough for 3rd this year due to stellar seasons by his former Seahawks teammate Jordyn Brooks and Atlanta’s Foyesade Oluokun.

Some were doubting Wagner’s coverage skills and were skeptical of him being signed given he’s now 32 years old. The Rams however felt none of that as they gave him a 5 year, $50 million contract that can be worth up to $65 million with incentives.

Now that his future in football is pretty much set, Bobby Wagner was asked if he has plans for what he’ll do after his career.

Bobby Wagner joined ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ where he was asked about his future plans to which he said “I don’t know if I have any aspirations(about representing players as an agent), not at this moment. I think my aspirations are to be a president of a team or potentially own a team and I think all of this is working towards that.”

Wagner further added, “I’m an open book so if anyone reaches out to me I’ll certainly help but, me representing myself is probably as far as I’ll go.”

Somewhere down the line, we may see Bobby Wagner own an NFL team but that would probably take quite some time given the capital needed to buy into a franchise. However, it wouldn’t be too hard to picture him in the front office for a team. Still, he has 5 years left on this contract so it’ll be quite the wait.
