The six-foot DB was born on March 24, 1998, and is currently 24 years old. Hamlin was a second-year defensive back who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. On May 21, 2001, he signed a four-year contract with the team. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Western Pennsylvania native was a 4-star prospect coming out of high school and received offers from multiple big-time schools, including Ohio State and Notre Dame.
But the talented young man decided to stay close to his hometown and played college ball at Pittsburgh. The defensive back accumulated 275 tackles and six interceptions during his 5-year career at Pitt. He was named Pitt student-athlete of the week on 9/18/2018 per Pittsburgh’s official site. He also had a massive impact on Pittsburgh’s victory in the 2019 Quick Lane bowl game as he tallied 13 tackles and 1 interception against Eastern Michigan.
After he was drafted by the Bills, he sat out most of his rookie year as the Bills were loaded on the secondary unit. Nonetheless, he proved he can play at a high level in the chances he got and became a starter in his second year. He was having a career year with the Bills until the unfortunate injury happened. Through 12 weeks of the NFL regular season, Hamlin led all Bills defenders in total tackles with 72 tackles.

The talented safety is more than just a football player. Hamlin started the Chasin M Foundation Community Toy Drive charity after he signed his rookie contract with the Bills to raise money for children in need.
The defensive back has not disclosed any information about his wife/girlfriend or his personal life in general.
He grew up in McKees Rocks in PA and attended high school just a few blocks away from the Pitts campus, according to the reports.
The safety was rushed to the hospital on 2nd Jan 2023 after he collapsed on the field during the Bengals-Bills game. Hamlin is currently in critical condition in the hospital, but his vitals are back to normal, per his friend and marketing representative Jordon Rooney.
