“He’s the best playmaker we have ever seen.”- Brett Favre showers Aaron Rodgers with monumental praise despite an embarrassing loss

AARON RODGERS and the Green Bay Packers suffered a massive upset this week in the divisional round against the 49ers. A game that people suspected might be tough but certainly, no one thought that the Packers would actually lose it.

Coming into the game the Packers were widely seen as the best and most complete team in the league. They had a great passing game that was well complemented by a solid run game and a well above average defense. Surely that’s a recipe for success in the playoffs. In the end, it amounted to nothing as their offense only put up 10 points in a shocking loss.

With the loss comes all the ‘where is Rodges going’ rumors but more than that was a massive amount of hate for the star quarterback. However among all this hate, Rodgers’ former teammate, Brett Favre has his back praising him despite the loss.

In an interview with ‘The Spun’ Favre was quoted saying “I just think that his football IQ is as good as anybody’s that ever played the game. Aaron’s going to shatter every record out there if he continues to play. He’s better now than he’s ever been and shows no signs of slowing down.”

When asked about Rodgers’ future, Favre said “Whether he goes to another team or not, he’s gonna make whoever he plays with so much better. He’s just a prolific playmaker. Probably, the best playmaker that I think we have ever seen.”

Perhaps it’s not too surprising to hear a former Packers player praise Rodgers but still, he just played one of the worst games of his life. Yes, he’s on his way to a 4th MVP award and the loss wasn’t completely on him but the praise just feels out of place at this current moment. Perhaps Favre is trying to keep Aaron in Green Bay a bit longer.
