“I’m Just Trying To Support”, Injured Dak Prescott Opinionated Upon Cowboys’ Victory Over The Vikings

NFC East aces, Dallas Cowboys maintained their pole position after a thrilling victory against Minnesota Vikings. To add to their joys, the victory came in the absence of their star quarterback, Dak Prescott. Prescott copped a nasty calf injury in the sixth week and was ruled against the Vikings. Cooper Rush came out as the perfect replacement as he played a pivotal role in shaping up the fortunes of the game.

There was ample cynicism about the fact whether he could have performed on the same scale as that of Dak Prescott. However, he dished out an impeccable showdown in the absence of their leading signal-caller that made even Dak Prescott heap praises on the 28-year old. In fact, Prescott also divulged the role that he played in the Cowboys’ victory against the Vikings.

This is what Dak Prescott had to say about Cooper Rush

Speaking to SIDD News in the post-match conference, Dak expressed his feelings about being on the sidelines due to his injury. He also revealed that despite not being sure whether he would play against Vikings or not, he trained in the usual way, hoping for some game time against the Vikings. Irrespective of the fact whether he was able to get game time or not, he said that his practicing would help Cooper Rush to hammer his way through the Vikings’ rearguard.

Prescott was heard quoting, “That’s what this team is about. I’m just trying to support everybody and every part of this team from whatever avenue there is. For me, it was about focusing on being the starter and doing what I normally do; going through that same routine all week long. And then if I didn’t get the call then obviously, I was going to flip it easily, knowing that everything that I prepared was to be able to give it to Coop and help him out.”

Prescott later heaped praises on Cooper Rush. He described Rush as mild-mannered, disciplined and with a humble personality. Prescott believed that it was his certain nuances in the game that helped him change the complexion of the game. Prescott stated, “That’s Coop. He’s very mild-tempered and always that way, never too high or too low. It showed tonight. It allowed him to stay in there, stick to it, stick through some bad plays and come out and make some great plays to win the game that we needed in the 4th quarter.”
