The Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy duo have created magic on the turf this season. They have made the San Francisco 49ers look invincible against the opponents. After the much-needed bye week, the 49ers have won all three games and both Purdy and McCaffrey have provided their best on the gridiron.
Their latest heroism came against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. The 49ers had a comfortable victory with a stellar margin of 31-13. Another great offensive performance led the team to move on to the 8-3 record after 11 games.
During the post-match interview, McCaffrey hailed Brock Purdy as one of the cool-headed QBs ever to play the game. He appreciated Purdy’s temperament and calmness on the field. The running back said,
Ice in his veins. He is such a good player man and he makes plays all over the field. Watching how consistent he is back in the hurdle. He is never too high, never too low. He is consistent anytime he gets the ball in his hands. If there is a play to be made, he can make it.
Though Purdy was a bit silent against the Seahawks, he covered more than 200 yards with two TDs and an interception. However, it was a Christian McCaffrey show. He had 19 carries for 114 rushing yards with five receptions and two touchdowns.
The RB shined on the day when Purdy was not having his best time. The 49ers’ fans witnessed the best of Purdy after the bye week. Before the bye week, Purdy was phenomenal against the Dallas Cowboys, registering four touchdowns in a 42-10 victory. After the bye week, he single-handedly thrashed the likes of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bye week helped Brock Purdy gain momentum back
After a fierce start to their NFL campaign, Purdy lost momentum after the game against the Cowboys. He started getting intercepted in crucial moments. He was intercepted five times in three games and was looking off-colored. The bye-week came as a blessing to him and he got his momentum back. After the bye, Purdy has registered seven TDs against one interception that came yesterday.

The QB thanked the bye week as he believed it gave him the much-needed break. He started afresh, both physically and mentally.
Having a week off for the second stretch was huge for me with my arm. To be able to step away from the game, take a breather, understand where we’re at, what we have to do, was huge for me to clear my mind and then come back excited for the second half and the stretch of football that we have to play, some good football that we have to play. So I feel good.Purdy via 49erswebzone.com
Purdy is still very much in the race for the MVP award. With 75.8 QBR, he is standing tall among other signal-callers.
