“A role model for others” Demaryius Thomas cause of death revealed

The NFL community was at a standstill again when the cause of death of former NFL player Demaryius Thomas was revealed. Former Broncos WR passed away due to ‘complications of a seizure disorder’ according to the autopsy report conducted by the Fulton County medical examiner.

Demaryius Thomas passed away in his home in Georgia on 9th December 2021 and his cause of death as revealed 7 months after his passing away as different tests were being conducted. After his passing away an autopsy was conducted which revealed that.

“the cause and manner of death are pending the completion of laboratory studies and microscopic tissue samples.” There were also news reported by the ABC that said Thomas suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain disease, but said that it did not caused his death.

In his autopsy traces of nicotine and marijuana were found in his blood but both were disregarded as potential causes of his death.

The family and teammates of Thomas said that the player used to have seizures after the car accident he suffered a year before. Thomas always had the desire to help everyone around him, this made him one of the most loved player of the NFL.

Demaryius Thomas was first drafter by the Broncos who he played 9 seasons with before moving on to Houston Texans and New York Jets where he retired in June 2021 six months prior to his death.

Thomas ended his immaculate career with 724 catches for 9,763 yards and 63 touchdowns. He also won a Pro Bowl and a Super Bowl.
