Aaron Rodgers has been highly speculated to complete the trade to the Jets in the coming days. The legendary QB has been rumored to join the Jets since the start of the offseason.

This will be one of the biggest signing for the Jets. They will be signing one of the best QBs of this generation who has created an immeasurable legacy in the league.

Rodgers has also won the Super Bowl with the Packers and has won the NFL MVP award numerous times in his career. The Jets could really use the advantage as they have been in a playoff drought since the last 12 years.

The last time Jets made the playoffs was in the year 2010, when things were completely different in the NFL. However, that time the Jets didn’t win the division but managed to scrape through to the playoffs with a 11-5 record. Rex Ryan was their HC at the time who helped them reach the AFC championship game where they lost out to the Steelers.

Since then, the New York based team has missed the playoffs for 12 times in the last 12 season whereas, Aaron Rodgers has missed just one playoff which was last year.

The Jets are currently the worst team in all of the 4 leagues in America combined. Out of the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB, only the Jets have failed to make the playoffs in the last 12 years. However, this soon could change as A-Rod comes with hope.

The Jets owner Woody Johnson strongly believes that his team can’t be patient and need to challenge for the playoffs since this season itself. Aaron Rodgers will be highly critical to that and the team understands that.

However, the Packers legend won’t be able to do it alone. For reinforcements, Rodgers gave a list of players for the Jets to sign which included WR Allen Lazard, who recently signed for the Jets. The list also included free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. who is highly speculated to move to New York.

With the much needed reinforcements and the leadership of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets can firmly challenge for the playoffs this season if not win the division. The Jets have a great all-round squad and they only need an exceptional QB who can break their drought of 12 years.
