Tom Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time. The New England Patriots icon has accomplished a lot of things during his 23-year career but has also faced a lot of struggles. Brady and the Patriots once found themselves in deep trouble back in 2015, when they were accused of intentionally deflating the football in the playoffs.

In the 2015 AFC Championship game, the Patriots, led by Tom Brady, defeated the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 45-7. Brady threw three touchdown passes in the game. After the game, it was found out that the football the Patriots used on their offense was inflated, and Brady was accused of ordering the footballs to be inflated.

But the Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady both claimed that they were unaware of any such thing. After an investigation by the league, the Patriots were fined $1 million and lost a couple of draft picks. Furthermore, their franchise QB Brady missed the first four games of the 2016 regular season with a suspension. The Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl that season and Brady ended up winning the Super Bowl MVP award.

However, the deflategate scandal remains a black mark in Brady’s career to this day. In fact, back in 2022, the then-Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers once took a brutal shot at Brady and the Patriots with a witty deflategate joke.

During the 2022 playoffs, the then-Packers signal caller Aaron Rodgers did an interview with Sportsnet where he was given a football and was asked to throw it at a drone to reveal the question he would be asked.

He picked up the football and looked straight at the camera and joked, “This is too firm for the Patriots referencing the time Brady and the New England-based franchise were punished for using inflated footballs during the 2015 AFC Championship game.

Rodgers was clearly joking since during the time of the scandal he offered support to his rival Brady and even claimed, There’s no advantage in having a pumped-up football.” Anyhow, fast forward to 2023, the 15-time Pro Bowl QB Brady recently announced that he is retiring from the sport of football and Aaron Rodgers is not playing in Green Bay anymore.

Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in exchange for a bunch of draft picks in the 2023 off-season. The 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback will look to lead the Jets to their first playoff appearance since 2010.
