“What a steal of a deal”: Twitter reacts to the Baker Mayfield trade

However, everything was looking out of sorts for the Browns after their main man Deshaun Watson got himself involved in a major controversy. With a lot of question marks around his participation in the coming season, everyone felt like the Browns might trust Baker again to do the deed, given Baker agrees to come back.
Baker was wanting to get out of Cleveland but there weren’t a lot of teams that were interested in roping in him. There were reports that the Panthers might want him, then reports of Seahawks showing interest in adding him to the roster emerged but nothing was conclusive.
At last, we have the final answer for Baker Mayfield. The star QB has been traded to the Panthers for a conditional fifth round pick in 2024. Reportedly, Panthers are paying Mayfield $5 Million and Baker has agreed to cut off the remaining $3.5 Million from his 2022 contract.
As expected, Twitter was flooded with reactions as soon as the news came out.
Finally, finally the man has been roped in by a team. Mayfield now has a chance to prove what he can do. He faced a lot of flak last season, but if he ends up turning things around this time and Deshaun ends up getting banned, the Browns would be left scratching their heads in frustration.
