The Dallas Cowboys are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year. They boast one of the toughest defenses in the league and if Dak Prescott can play well for the entire season, the Dallas-based football team certainly has a shot at winning the Championship this year. However, they recently suffered a huge blow as one of their star players Trevon Diggs suffered a season-ending injury during one of their practice sessions earlier this week.
Amidst this, Bart Scott made a tasteless comment about Diggs’ season-ending injury on the ESPN show First Take which upset even the notorious Cowboys hater Stephen A. Smith.
“This is a major, major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always said, ‘Just wait, something bad always happens,’” Scott smirked while talking about the season-ending injury of the Cowboys cornerback. The former Pittsburgh Steelers Ryan Clark who was also on the panel quickly interjected and said “No, don’t start that, don’t start that.”
The tasteless cheap joke was not received well by the Cowboys hater Stephen A. Smith either. “Hold up, I wouldn’t do that right now, in all seriousness. This is a season-ending injury so I’m certainly not gonna joke about that,” said Smith.
Besides, no one on social media was a fan of the cheap joke made by the former Baltimore Ravens linebacker. Many NFL players including the Cowboys LB Micah Parsons, the Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and the Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill all called out Scott on social media.
Social media bashes Bart Scott over his Trevon Diggs joke
Football fans on social media bashed the former NFL linebacker Bart Scott for his cheap joke about the season-ending injury of the Cowboys’ Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs. Check out some of the reactions below.
The talented CB suffered the injury during a practice session one-on-one drill earlier this week. Later, the Cowboys revealed that Diggs suffered an ACL injury and will miss the remainder of the 2023 season.
Diggs’ injury will be a huge blow for the Cowboys, who are competing for the Super Bowl now. The young cornerback is one of the best players on the Dallas-based football team and was a leader in their defensive unit.

Nevertheless, the Cowboys will continue their quest for the championship ring without Trevon Diggs on their squad. For now, they will be focused on the Arizona Cardinals, who they are scheduled to face this weekend in their week 3 matchup.
