On Thursday, the New England Patriots, led by BaileyZappe,e went against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a crucial Week 14 matchup. The Steelers entered the game as a huge 6-point home favorite, but things did not go their way in the game.
However, one time, Steelers QB Mitchell Trubisky got away with an interception due to a defensive pass interference penalty, and Bill Belichick was livid because of it.
During the first quarter of the game, the Steelers were trailing by 7 points and were trying to put some points on the board. During the crucial part of the game, Trubisky threw an interception and turned the ball over. However, the interception was negated after the refs called a defensive pass interference penalty on Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson.
After the penalty, the Pats’ veteran head coach, Bill Belichick, looked visibly frustrated and was yelling near a referee. Check out the footage of the incident attached below.
Nonetheless, the penalty didn’t make a lot of difference in the end, as the Patriots went on to secure a huge 21-18 victory against the Pittsburgh-based football team despite entering the game as a 6-point road underdog.
Heading into their game against the Steelers, the Patriots had a change at the quarterback position as Bailey Zappe took over for Mac Jones and had a solid outing.
Zappe completed 19 of his 28 pass attempts for 240 passing yards and 3 interceptions while throwing 1 interception. As a result, the New England-based football team managed to register their third victory of the season.
Jabrill Peppers dedicated their victory to Bill Belichick
After constant offensive struggles, the Patriots were finally able to secure their third victory of the season on the back of a good performance from quarterback Bailey Zappe. Following their victory, the Pats’ defensive Jabrill Peppers dedicated the victory to their head coach, Bill Belichick.
We needed it. I just feel good we could get it done for Bill and the rest of the coaches. I don't really like all the flak he's been getting, because it's on us as players to go out and execute. I personally feel like the game-plan has been phenomenal week-in and week-out, and when we had opportunities to make plays, we didn't make them. But we made enough tonight.Peppers via ESPN.
Jabrill Peppers recently came under fire for saying that his team is a** during a hot mic moment with the New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley. Nonetheless, he stepped up on Thursday and registered an interception, helping his team beat the Steelers in their Week 14 matchup.
