Joe Burrow and the Bengals suffered a heartbreaking loss against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Conference Championship game on Sunday. With this victory, the Chiefs will now be heading to their third Super Bowl in five years and for the Bengals, their off-season has begun earlier than they would’ve liked. Furthermore, the Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs took this opportunity to troll the team that eliminated him from the NFL postseason.
The no.1 AFC-seeded Chiefs had an ugly 0-and-3 record against the Bengals QB Joe Burrow and were facing a lot of disrespect from many people before the game. The Bengals DB started calling the Chiefs’ home stadium “Burrowhead” instead of Arrowhead, which started massive back-and-forth trash talks between the Chiefs and Bengals players before their Championship game.
Furthermore, even Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval got involved but took it a little too far by asking the Bengals QB Burrow for a paternity test to confirm that he’s not the father of the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, which didn’t sit well with the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce. Nevertheless, the Chiefs endured all the disrespect and took out their frustrations on the field by outperforming the AFC North Champions and eliminating them from the NFL postseason.
Social media rips Bills WR Stefon Diggs for mocking the Bengals
The Chiefs’ victory in the AFC Championship brought a lot of Bengals haters together on social media and Bills WR Stefon Diggs, whose team recently got owned by Joe Burrow-led Bengals, seemingly mocked the Cincinnati-based football team by posting a five-second video clip of Hip-Hop artist Drake laughing Menacingly.
The Cincinnati team humiliated the Bills in the divisional round and eliminated them from the postseason. Furthermore, the beatdown was so bad it caused the Bills to implode, which led to Diggs yelling at his QB Josh Allen on the sidelines.
Moreover, after that game, DB Eli Apple took to social media to mock the Bill players, including Diggs, in a series of tweets that led to him receiving a massive backlash on social media. The Bengals’ defensive back has made himself a lot of enemies during the last few years with his menacing behavior and this Diggs’ cryptic tweet might just be him mocking Apple rather than the whole Bengals team.
Nevertheless, the Bills and the Bengals are both out of the postseason and will now be focused on putting some pieces around their franchise quarterbacks and running it again next season in hopes of winning the Super Bowl in near future.
