“Broncos country in for a bumpy ride.” Twitter erupts as Russell Wilson and the Broncos lose a MISERABLE game to the Colts

Russell Wilson

When Russell Wilson was signed by the Denver Broncos, it was expected that the Broncos will once again ascend to the top and make a run for the Lombardi trophy. The last time the Broncos signed a veteran quarterback, the move led them to two Super Bowl appearances and a historic victory at Super Bowl 50 as Peyton Manning walked away from the game of football after a legendary Hall of Fame career.

Manning’s years in the Mile High were the stuff of legends. The Broncos and their fans are hoping for a repeat of those highs with Wilson under center but the fans’ confidence in Wilson has been shaken by the poor outing through week 5 as the Broncos now stand 2–3 and they have not looked convincing in either victory. Their two victories have come against a winless Houston Texas and the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers game was close 11-10 and might have gone the 49ers’ way.

Boos for Russell Wilson from the Denver Broncos fans as miserable performances continue

When Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos were at the Seattle Seahawks for the season opener, the Seahawks fans booed Wilson throughout the game, something which many Broncos fans and others around the league criticized and roasted Seattle fans for. But the tables have now turned as Broncos fans are now the ones booing their quarterback as the miserable performances continue.

Wilson had 21 completions on 39 attempts for 274 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. The kickers scored all the points in the game, which does not look good for both quarterbacks.

Twitter erupted to show the ire for Wilson and the Broncos-

Russell Wilson will be under a lot of pressure to bounce back and perform up to the expectations of the Broncos’ management and the fans. With the Broncos scheduled to face the Chargers, a subpar Wilson will not be enough to eke out a win against young gun Justin Herbert-led squad.
