Calvin Ridley officially became the first athlete ever to wear the No. ‘0’ jersey in the league. The team owners decided to pass the petition allowing athletes to wear the ‘0’ number jersey.
The changes came after the Eagles filed a petition ahead of this week’s review meeting, However, it won’t be an Eagles player to be the first one to wear it. Jaguars WR Ridley took the number for himself before anyone else.
Ridley had a tumultuous journey in the NFL where the WR was recently suspended after being accused of betting on NFL games during his time with the Falcons.
Although, now the WR has moved to the Jaguars and is looking for a new beginning. The 28-year old WR was reinstated after a year long suspension and is looking to make the Jaguars a real threat in their division.
The Jaguars had a decent playoff run last season where they pulled off an amazing comeback against the Chargers. However, this year they will be looking to go further with the help of Calvin Ridley and his No. ‘0’ jersey.

However, Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill had the last laugh when he called out his teammate Jaylen Waddle for wearing the ‘0’ number jersey and heavily trolled the WR on his twitter. “Waddle need to wear zero so he can show how many times he done beat me in madden,” Tyreek Hill stated on his Twitter.
