The Chicago Bears are 0-3 to begin the 2023 NFL season. They have struggled mightily with their offense and one player who has had a terrible start to his season is WR Chase Claypool. He had a poor week 1 and was criticized by his teammates for lack of effort. Claypool later apologized to his fellow teammates after the team reportedly threatened to put him on the healthy inactive list.

The Bears acquired Claypool in the middle of last season. They gave up a second-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the receiver, which turned out to be the 32nd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. Claypool’s performances have improved following his week 1 lowlight, but that hasn’t helped the Bears win football games.

Claypool is clearly frustrated with his struggles. In a recent interview on Friday, reporters asked him whether the Chicago Bears were putting him “in the best position for you as a receiver to showcase the best of what you can do,” to which the WR simply said “No.” ESPN‘s Courtney Cronin later posted a transcript of that interview, but the response from Claypool didn’t have a different sentiment.

When asked about what is the best place the team can put him to succeed, Claypool said, “You know, I’II let them decide that. I’m not going to give any pointers. That’s their job to decide and l’ll just do what they tell me to do.”

Claypool was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was shipped to the Bears in the middle of the 2022 season and has struggled to make a mark since then. The Bears will play the 0-3 Denver Broncos in their next game and will hope to get their first win of the season.

The Chicago Bears will face the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Both these teams are 0-3 to begin the season. The Bears have a lot of problems as they haven’t looked good at all. The team’s QB Justin Fields is arguably the worst quarterback in the league and the Bears offense hasn’t been in sync.

They came into the 2023 season with a lot of expectations after having a pretty busy offseason. They improved their roster by bringing in WRs DJ Moore and LB Tremaine Edwards. However, the Bears haven’t lived up to those expectations and are now in a tough position heading into week 4.

The team is also dealing with some off-field issues as DC Alan Williams abruptly resigned due to an alleged FBI raid at the Bears facility. The Chicago Bears will hope to get a win on Sunday against another struggling team, the Broncos.
