Mark Alford is a republican congressman from Missouri. Unsurprisingly, the congressman from Missouri is also a big-time Chiefs fan and couldn’t wait to tell the whole congress about his team’s exploits on Sunday in the AFC championship game against the Bengals.

The Chiefs and Bengals rivalry is starting to take a steam in recent years. Both teams are heavily equipped in each department, but most importantly, they have two quality QBs who are expected to run the league in the future.

Therefore, it is quite obvious that their fans will also go at each other’s throat time and time again. This is exactly what happened prior to the eventual AFC championship game that the Chiefs won.

Before the game, the fans from Cincinnati were highly confident in their team and decided to brutally roast the Chiefs and their players. Even the mayor of Cincinnati took shots at Kansas with a ‘proclamation‘.

However, what goes around, comes around and this time it was congressman Mark Alford’s turn who didn’t leave a stone unturned in roasting the people of Cincinnati and their mayor.

Alford first spoke about the difficult conditions that the Chiefs were in before the game. Their star QB Patrick Mahomes was injured and many fans turned against them.

“Like many Missourians, I could not be prouder of the effort put forth on the field yesterday, last night. Despite having an injured Patrick Mahomes, injuries to several key players, incredible amounts of outside noise and the referees against them the entire game, the Chiefs made short work of the Bungles – I mean, Bengals,” Mark Alford stated in his speech.

The congressman was out for revenge against all the people who had spoken ill of the Chiefs and decided to handle each one of them in his speech. His rant about the Bengals players started with CB Eli Apple and ultimately ended by taking shots at mayor Jabroni, also known as the mayor of Cincinnati.

“I hope Eli Apple has fun in Cancun. I also hope that Mayor Jabroni and the rest of the Cincinnati fan base learned a valuable lesson,” Mark Alford continued.

The insane speech by Alford had mixed reviews on social media. While many called out the republican for using his podium the wrong way, as it should be used for the betterment of the people and not to make insane rants about a football game.

In all fairness, this shows the spirit and passion of the game deep in the hearts of American people and how they can go to any lengths just to support and defend their favorite football team. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Chiefs or the Bengals.
