DeAndre Hopkins is an experienced WR who has been highly instrumental for the Cardinals. Sadly, his time with the Cardinals is done and the WR is looking for a change in scenery. There are many teams in the NFL who are excited to bring Hopkins to their team as he offers experience and skill at the same time. However, recent revelations can scare away those teams at the prospect of signing the WR.
The Cardinals are demanding a lucrative trade deal for the 30-year-old WR and have shared their desire to have a deal like the 49ers’ RB Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers last season. The former Panthers RB made the move after the San Francisco based team offered second, third, and fourth-round draft picks.
Although Hopkins is one of the most experienced WRs around, the Cardinals have asked for a big number for the 30-year-old and will have to negotiate a bit to find a suitable replacement for the 5-time Pro Bowl winner.
Hopkins also has $19 million left in his salary base and it is reported that the WR will have a restructured contract once the trade is completed. Comparing McCaffrey’s trade with Hopkins is highly illogical as the former Panthers RB is younger than Hopkins. Also, the 49ers were in a bidding war with the Rams to acquire the RB and had to overpay for him.
DeAndre Hopkins has inspired serious interest from many teams, however, they are just window shopping currently and have not approached the WR and his team yet.

Many NFL teams are currently in the market to search for quality high-end WRs. DeAndre Hopkins is one of the best in the league and has proved his worth time and time again. The former Texans WR is a 5-time Pro Bowl winner and has also been named to 5-All Pro teams.
However, his form faltered during the latter half of the season due to injuries and unwanted suspensions related to drug use. Hopkins is a great player but he is getting old and way past his prime.
Still, there are teams like the Ravens, Chiefs, and Bills who are in the market for a quality, high-end WR but have not made a move yet. This can be due to the massive price tag that the Cardinals have smashed on to DeAndre Hopkins. The Cardinals are currently under a rebuild and will have to try to take their price down if they want to move the aging WR.
