The mayor of Cincinnati, Aftab Pureval takes a keen interest in NFL and often follows each game. His favored team, the Cincinnati Bengals never fail to provide a great game. However, there are times when they fall short of expectations and lose to a mightier foe, like the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pureval recently spoke about the Chiefs vs Bengals game in a video. However, this time it was completely different from his previous outing. The mayor of Cincinnati didn’t comment anything about the Chiefs nor their QB Patrick Mahomes.

He also didn’t call Joe Burrow, the father of Mahomes and didn’t even take shots at the Chiefs and their stadium. Maybe, the mayor has learned a watchful lesson from his mistake the last time around.

In the new video, Pureval was also joined by former Chiefs OT Orlando Brown Jr. who helped him keep things in check. The video included Purevals stating that the Chiefs and Bengals will face each other during the week 17 matchup of the NFL and ‘he’s got nothing else to add.’

This was an ode to his speech from last time, where he completely decimated the Chiefs. Aftab Pureval was confident that the Bengals will get a positive result against the Chiefs in the AFC championship game. However, they lost in OT, and with that, all hope was lost as well.

The Bengals were strong favorites going into the AFC championship game, as Joe Burrow was 3-0 against Patrick Mahomes. This made Aftab Pureval extremely confident, and he said some things about the Chiefs and Mahomes that he should not have said. The mayor of Cincinnati also called ‘Arrowhead Stadium’ the ‘Burrowhead Stadium’ for the Bengals QB’s dominance in that stadium.

Unfortunately, the Bengals lost to the Chiefs. To add to their misery, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce also hit back at the mayor while calling him a ‘jabroni’ for his statements. “I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor: Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni,” Kelce said during the Lamar Hunt Trophy presentation.

The Bengals and Chiefs matchup is turning out to be a thrilling game each time around. It’s always a close game between them and usually the game is decided in OT or by a solitary point. With both the teams being contenders for the AFC this season, Aftab Pureval will keep the trash talk to himself until the Bengals get a win against the Chiefs.
