Aaron Rodgers finds himself in some hot water yet again. This time, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers received flak from OutKick founder Clay Travis for his backlash on the woke culture. Rodgers recently spoke out against woke culture and blamed it for having dubbed his image as a ‘villain’ figure. He is referring to the immunization situation when he publicly stated that he was immunized but it was later determined that Rodgers had not taken the COVID-19 vaccine.

Clay Travis was critical of Aaron and stated that as time passes and more information emerges, the quarterback’s views will see themselves “vindicated.” Travis had this to say about the quarterback:

“I think there are some people who consider him a villain, but there are idiots like that guy, Joe Scarborough, who said that anybody who’s not going to get a yearly COVID shot for the rest of their life is a moron. There are people like that who still believe that Aaron Rodgers is a moron. But I think as time goes on, and as you well know, as the data continues to come out, the people who chose not to get the COVID shot because they had concerns about what their health was going to be, particularly young and healthy athletes like Aaron Rodgers, I just think they look smarter and smarter and time is going to vindicate him in a big way and make him a hero, not a villain.”

Clay Travis believes Aaron Rodgers will look smarter and smarter in the public domain as time progresses:

Travis was referring to Aaron Rodgers‘s comments on the Pat McAfee Show where he had made this statement, “There’s heroes and villains in sports and entertainment and I think because of my stance on COVID and maybe some other things, I’ve been cast as the villain especially the last few years. This woke culture wants to be offended by everything , you just go online and find something you don’t agree with.”

Aaron has literally transitioned from being a ‘bad man’ on the football field to becoming a bad man in the eyes of fans and other viewers. Most of the criticism stemmed from the fact that many may have perceived his response to being vaccinated as misleading. However, Clay Travis defends Rodgers on his take.

He is of the opinion that athletes such as Aaron did what is in their best interest and he was just careful and concerned about putting something in his body that was not extensively researched and the side effects of which were not known at the time. Travis concludes by stating that as time passes, Aaron will be lauded for the stance that he took at the time.
