“I thought the Philadelphia Eagles had an exceptional draft weekend”: Colin Cowherd is putting his money on the Eagles to win the NFC East
The NFL offseason is nearing its end, the draft has concluded, and we are now getting a clear idea of what the roster of each team will look like in the upcoming NFL season. This is the perfect time to start ranking each team in their respective divisions. However, there are some teams that have exceeded the expectations of many. The Eagles are one such team.
Philadelphia has had an amazing offseason, the NFC East team traded for A.J. Brown, an amazing wideout, and skilled route runner. They locked him up for 5 years for $100 million. In addition to that, they already had a baller in DeVonta Smith and with a talented QB like Jalen Hurts, the team is looking more dangerous than ever.
“I have the Eagles going from third to first”: Colin Cowherd on the Eagles’ chances this season
In the latest edition of the Herd with Colin Cowherd, the analyst re-ranked the teams with their updated rosters across the league. The NFC East, which Skip Bayless likes to call the ‘NFC least‘ owing to the skim competition in the division will be won by the Philadelphia Eagles as per Colin.
“I thought the Philadelphia Eagles had an exceptional draft weekend, I did not think the Commanders or the Cowboys did. So, I have the Eagles going from third (in the division) to first. Philadelphia wins the division, I do not see Dallas as a playoff team, and the Giants are an easy four(4th place).”
It makes sense, after all the Cowboys‘ offseason left everyone confused rather than satisfied, they picked a guard in Tyler Smith in the NFL Draft, hoping that they would land another diamond in the rough as they did with Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs. The primary issue with the Cowboys pick is that the team already got into trouble with respect to flags called last season and Smith will just exaggerate that issue further on as he has gotten in flag troubles in college on numerous occasions.
The Washington Commanders are probably not going to beat the Cowboys or the Eagles unless Carson Wentz is at his best, and well the New York Giants… let’s just leave it at that. Saquon Barkley is coming back and Daniel Jones is there but we need them to be consistent and perform which they have not done in a long long time.
