The New York Jets are making a lot of noise in the off-season. The Jets GM Joe Douglas is spending a lot of money to rope in some key players. First, they are almost guaranteed to sign the 4-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers this off-season. And then, they are also signing the Packers WR Allen Lazard, and the Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman to strengthen their receiving core.

The Jets were already a playoff team. All they needed was a good quarterback who can lead their roaster in the right direction. It seems like they have found their QB as they’re getting closer every day to finalizing a deal with the Packers for an Aaron Rodgers trade. In addition, the Jets are showing a lot of interest in acquiring the 3-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Amidst this situation, the long-time NFL analyst Colin Cowherd makes an interesting analogy of why the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers might be the perfect fit for the New York-based football team.

“You look at the Jets and think ‘they’re making a bunch of noise’ and noise isn’t good but… Jets quarterbacks, the good ones and the talented ones have almost always been noisy,” stated Cowherd during a recent episode of his show The Herd on Fox Sports 1. “Aaron Rodgers is a perfect fit.”

The Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd went on to ridicule the Jets for always making a noise in the league but never winning anything. Moreover, he also made an interesting comparison between the Jets and the NY Giants.

“The Giants are blueblood,” said Cowherd.“The Jets have always been the little brother, they’re the little dog in the neighborhood that makes all the noise to prove how tough he is, and the big dog rolls his eyes because he doesn’t have to prove how big and tough he is, that’s the difference between the Giants and the Jets, the Giants are an accounting firm, the Jets are a nightclub. The Jets bark and bark, and make noise, that’s what they do and that’s what they always do.”

Besides, Cowherd also boldly claimed that even if they sign the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, the Jets would not win the Super Bowl. “Aaron is going to make the Jets newsworthy, fun, flashy, and they’ll get more headlines than the Giants, and they won’t win the Super Bowl because the Jets don’t,” said Cowherd.

Cowherd is a well-renowned NFL analyst but might be severely underestimating the young Jets who could possibly prevail under the veteran leadership of the 39-year-old QB Aaron Rodgers.
