It is highly difficult to keep Jerry Jones‘ name away from controversies. After getting temporary relief from the lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed to be Jones’ daughter, he is all set to face trial for the allegations of sexual harassment lodged by a woman. The original case was earlier filed in Dallas country in 2020 but it was dismissed two years later.

The Court dismissed the case on the ground that the plaintiff failed to provide enough information on alleged crimes. However, it was revived by a State Appellate Court and the Texans Supreme Court stated that the case should be continued to allow the plaintiff to amend her complaint by providing the necessary information the Court was looking for.

The trial is set to be held on March 18, 2024. It will revolve around an incident that took place in the Dallas Cowboys home ground AT&T Stadium where the veteran billionaire and the owner allegedly grabbed the lady without her consent and kissed her. The Plaintiff (who is identified as J.G.) also named the NFL and the Cowboys team as defendants. She argued that both these identities either knew or should have known Jones’ actions.

Jerry Jones earlier denied all the allegations claiming these allegations were malicious and harmful. However, he has not come up with an opinion after the announcement of the Trial date.

Though the date has been declared, it can be subjected to delays for multiple reasons. One of them is related to the conflict with attorneys.

Jerry Jones is suffering from a paternity lawsuit already

Fighting a lawsuit is nothing new for the Cowboys owner. In March 2022, Alexandra Davis, a 26-year-old lady filed a lawsuit claiming Jones was her biological father. She also accused the veteran businessman of paying her mother, Cynthia Spencer Davis, hush money of more than $350,000 as part of the confidentiality agreement.

Quoting one of Jones’ attorneys, ESPN reported that Jones paid nearly $3 million to Davis and a $70,000 Range Rover on her 16th birthday. Don Jack, the lawyer added that he made all the payments on behalf of Jones.

The woman later filed a defamation suit as well. She alleged Jones and two others of portraying her as an ‘extortionist.’

Jones got relieved from the defamation suit nearly a month back as the US District Court dismissed the defamation plea. Judge Robert W. Schroeder III did not find any potential in the lawsuit.
