The Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins game is one of the most anticipated matchups of the 2023 NFL season. Both the teams have started the season on fire as the Dolphins are unbeaten whereas the Bills have bounced back from a tough loss in their week 1 matchup against the New York Jets. The Bills are coming into the game after a dominating 37-3 win over the Washington Commanders.

They also came into the game with their safety Damar Hamlin back on the roster. He did not play in the Bills’ first three games but with an injury to Pro-Bowl safety Jordan Poyer, the door opened for Hamlin to get his first start of the season. Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest in January this year against the Cincinnati Bengals. He made a full recovery after the incident and will now play his first game of the season.

Before the game, ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington posted a video on his Twitter account about Hamlin with his teammates in the pregame huddle. The Bills were standing with their arms around each other before the game as the camera captured Hamlin in full gear. Darlington captioned the video saying, “An awesome moment to watch Bills safety Damar Hamlin huddle with his teammates before taking the field for his first regular-season game”

Hamlin was drafted by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He started 13 games last season. Hamlin collapsed on the ground after tackling the Bengals’ Tee Higgins. He was taken to the hospital and the game was cancelled following the incident.
