Damar Hamlin knows and understands what it feels like when life is on the line and how delicate and precious human life can be. The Bills DB was recently in the hospital after suffering a terrible cardiac arrest during the Bills-Bengals regular season game.

Hamlin collapsed after a tackle by the opposition player and got up properly. However, the 24-year-old then went on to the ground and showed no movement. Medical help arrived instantaneously and administered CPR on the Bills’ rookie.

It is reported that if the CPR wasn’t administered carefully, then maybe the Bills DB could have lost his life on the field. Hamlin was fortunate to have medical help around him. However, New Jersey-born Elijah Jordon Brown-Garcia wasn’t fortunate and sadly lost his life on the football field after practice.

The 12-year-old boy collapsed and passed away in the middle of the football field. There were no expert medical professionals around him to help. There are many reports that state that CPR could have helped the young boy. Unfortunately, no one knew how to administer CPR and Damar Hamlin wants to change that.

The Bills DB believes that no one should have to go through what he went through and what Elijah Brown and his parents recently suffered. Sports injuries are getting pretty common these days and there should be some basic education systems adopted by schools that teach young children to do basic life-saving practices like administering CPR.

Damar Hamlin took to Twitter to share his plight and also raise awareness of the passing away of the Jersey-born. “Thinking of Elijah Jordon Brown-Garcia today. Prayers out to his parents & family. I’m making it my mission to make sure everyone knows CPR.” Hamlin wrote in his Tweet.

Hamlin wants to make it his mission that everyone in the country and the world knows how to administer CPR so another young Elijah Brown won’t collapse to the ground and pass away in such a horrendous manner.

Damar Hamlin is still recovering from his gruesome injury and won’t be back on the Bills roster until next season. The Bills DB will be met with a huge celebration when he returns.
