Damar Hamlin suffered a lethal injury during the NFL week 17 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills’ safety collided with the Bengals’ receiver Tee Higgins and collapsed on the ground. The incident has paved the way for conspiracy theorists on the Internet to get active, like it usually does.

Hamlin was unresponsive for quite some minutes as medical personnel rushed to the 24-year-old and quickly administered CPR. Hamlin was later rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and the Bills-Bengals game was suspended indefinitely.

After further examination, it was revealed that Hamlin had suffered a cardiac arrest when he collided with the Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. Although the cause of the cardiac arrest is still unknown, it didn’t stop people on social media from making bizarre and absurd assumptions.

Social media quickly got to work after the news of Hamlin collapsing on the field went viral on the Internet. While the majority of people were sending love and prayers for the young safety, many were conspiring over the cause of his injury.

There were absurd suggestions made on social media specifying that Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest due to the COVID-19 vaccine that he had taken way before. People started connecting the dots and stated that the COVID-19 vaccine is known to induce cardiac arrest in people and such was the case with Hamlin as he collapsed on the field.

The University of Cincinnati Medical Center has yet to make a statement on Hamlin’s condition as he is currently under critical care. Therefore, there is no basis for the absurd COVID-19 vaccine theory that people are assuming.
