The week 13 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers is going to be epic. Both these teams have Super Bowl aspirations this season and they last played each other in the NFC Championship game last season. The Eagles got the better of the Niners in that game as they advanced to the Super Bowl. However, the Eagles lost a close title game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
These two teams have bad blood. The players on both sides have taken digs at each other and that might come to fruition on Sunday during the game. The Niners’ star WR/RB Deebo Samuel called out the Eagles’ cornerback James Bradberry in the offseason during his appearance on the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast earlier this year. Samuel doubled down on his comments during his recent appearance on the Up & Adams show.
Samuel told host Kay Adams when asked about his “trash” comments about Bradberry:
I don't regret nothing I said.
He further talked about the matchup against the Eagles and was asked to respond to Eagles’ defenseman, Haason Reddick‘s comments about the Niners. The receiver said as a direct response to Reddick:
We'll catch you on Sunday.
Get the popcorn ready for Sunday, this is must-see TV!
The Niners are on a three-game winning streak. They started the season 5-0 but lost their next three games. However, after their bye in week 9, the Niners are on a roll and are looking dangerous. The Eagles on the other hand have the best record in the league with 10-1. They recently beat a good Buffalo Bills side in their last game on Sunday.
A.J. Brown urges Eagles fans to troll Deebo Samuel during the Eagles-49ers week 13 matchup
There is genuine hatred between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. They met each other in the NFC Championship game last season and it all kickstarted from there. Niners’ WR Deebo Samuel called Eagles’ CB James Bradberry “trash” during the offseason. That did not go well with the Eagles players as their WR A.J. Brown recently took to Twitter and demanded the Eagles fans to troll Samuel during the game.
Brown tweeted:
Eagle fans… it’s troll @19problemz week. You have my permission.
Samuel recently appeared on the Up & Adams show and clarified that he does not regret anything he said about the Eagles cornerback. The receiver told host Kay Adams:
I said it. I don't regret it.
The Eagles and the Niners are two of the best teams in the NFC right now. Both these teams have great rosters filled with talented players. The Niners won their last game against the Seattle Seahawks by 18 points. The Eagles on the other hand won a overtime thriller against the Buffalo Bills, 37-34.
