On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers led by their second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered a brutal loss against the Cleveland Browns in their week 11 matchup. Following the loss, there were reportedly a lot of things happening in the Steelers locker room. Furthermore, wide receiver Diontae Johnson allegedly lashed out at a coaching staff during the game, before being escorted away by the offensive lineman Broderick Jones.
According to a report from Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, the Steelers’ locker room didn’t have a positive atmosphere following their rough loss against their AFC North division rivals. Besides, Pittsburgh’s wide receiver Johnson had an outburst during the game itself.

During the second half of the game, Johnson was reportedly livid and was arguing with an unnamed coaching staff on the sidelines. The outburst was significant enough that the Steelers’ rookie offensive tackle Broderick Jones had to physically pick Johnson up and carry him away from the coach to de-escalate the situation.
The Athletic didn’t mention who Johnson was arguing with. But they reported that the argument led to a “lengthy sideline talk” between head coach Mike Tomlin and his star pass catcher.
Diontae Johnson’s frustration is understandable since he didn’t have a great game against the Browns on Sunday. In the game, he only caught 2 passes for 16 yards on 8 targets. Furthermore, after the game, Johnson refused to address the media, saying,
You all saw what happened.
What happened in the game was that the Steelers’ offense couldn’t do anything right against the tough Browns defense. As a result, the Browns ended up winning the game 13-10 and improved to a solid 7-3 record in the ongoing NFL season. On the other hand, the Steelers dropped to a 6-4 record, but they are still well in the hunt for a postseason spot.
Diontae Johnson calls out a fan for questioning his route-running skills
Following the Steelers’ poor performance in their week 11 game against the Browns, a fan posted a video of Kenny Pickett throwing an incomplete pass and claimed that Diontae Johnson might be responsible for that miscommunication.

The Steelers’ star receiver Johnson quote tweeted the fan’s analytic video and hit back at the fan by saying that he ran the route he was supposed to run in that particular play.
Ran the route I was suppose to sir. Jus saying anything for likes smh.Johnson wrote on X.
Nonetheless, Johnson is having a bad campaign in 2023 and hasn’t lived up to his potential. He will look to have a breakout game against the Cincinnati Bengals, who they are scheduled to face this Sunday in their week 12 matchup.
