Finally, there is a rock-solid update about Lamar Jackson’s situation with the Ravens and this source can be trusted as it was revealed by the young quarterback himself on Twitter.

Jackson wrote, “As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl.”

It didn’t take long for fans as well as players to recruit the 2019 NFL MVP to their team. However, one such request stood out from the crowd. Former Ravens safety DeShon Elliott who just signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins tried to recruit Lamar Jackson to his new team. He retweeted ESPN’s post revealing Jackon requested a trade from the team and wrote: “#CometotheDolphins.”

Elliott of course deleted that tweet but it was on the Internet long enough for people to wonder why he would try and recruit Lamar Jackson — one he is on the defensive side of the line so he doesn’t have the expertise to comment and second the Dolphins already have their franchise quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua Tagovailoa set to be the quarterback for the Dolphins till 2024

on March 20, 2023, the Dolphins picked the fifth-year option on Tua Tagovailoa‘s rookie contract that will pay him $9.6 million in 2023. Tua was selected fifth overall in the 2020 NFL draft by Miami and his career has been filled with a lot of injuries and inconsistency to carry the momentum. However, in the last season, Tua had an 8-5 record in the 13 games he played and led the league passer rating (105.5).

Tua Tagovailoa suffered a lot of concussions in 2022 and a couple more might put his professional career at risk. Still, the Dolphins showed that they are sticking with him by picking his fifth-year option. DeShon Elliott has been a Dolphin all of 12 days and he has the guts to publicly recruit another quarterback. This made a lot of fans angry and asked him to focus on his play rather than creating unnecessary issues. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter.

The entire Dolphins fanbase has turned against DeShon Elliott for disrespecting Tua Tagovailoa. Many have demanded the front office cut Elliott and let him know the cost of taking advantage of The First Amendment of the U.S. Consitution.
