“F**k you,” Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle marred by vehement BOOS as 12s make displeasure heard on Broncos QB

Seahawks fans booed Russell Wilson on return to Seattle

Russell Wilson in the not-too-distant past was a fan favorite in Seattle but nothing is permanent in life. After a bitter split from the Seattle Seahawks and joining the Denver Broncos, Wilson does not enjoy the same adoration as he did before. Seattle’s fans known as the 12s were not very welcoming of Wilson in his return to the Emerland city.

Wilson was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL draft and it had been a very successful partnership for nearly a decade which reached its peak when they won Superbowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are now the team that Wilson has joined after tensions between him and the Seahawks led to a fractured relationship. Seattle fans are quite vocal and faithful supporters of their football club and it showed when Wilson returned to Seattle for the Broncos’ season opener against the Seahawks.

The 12s had a lot to cheer for when their team defeated Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos in a closely contested game although cheering wasn’t all that they did. During the whole game each time Wilson did anything. When Wilson walked onto the field at the start of the game there were boos and even when he stepped onto the field for his team’s first offensive drive.

The world was divided on the matter as many roasted the Seattle fans for booing Wilson who is undoubtedly the greatest Quarterback in franchise history and led them to their only Superbowl victory while a few thought the boos were justified-

The emotions were high and although Wilson is one of the best to ever play for the Seahawks the bitter taste of a split is hard to get over and the wounds are quite fresh. Wilson’s departure turned Seahawks from a competitor into a team in rebuild which has left the 12s frustrated. Maybe the victory was a compensation of sorts for the wounded fans.
