Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, Antonio Brown is very well known in the NFL for making absurd comments and doing outrageous things both on and off the pitch. The wide receiver made yet another controversial comment when he made an appearance on the We In Miami podcast.

Antonio Brown made a massive claim that there is no racism present in the United States of America, an issue which has plagued the country for years. The 33-year old said that people need to accept their fate which will come along with a change in their mindset since there’s no racism in the country.

“You don’t have to have self-pity or be a mentality of being victimized,” Antonio Brown said. “There’s no racism, you can do what you want in America, in the world. Only you can breathe for yourself and like, only you can see with your own eyes, so, it’s up to what you want. I made $100 million in football contracts.”

These comments from the former NFL star did not find support from people of race in the country. Leading American singer, Summer Walker was one of the first ones to take offence to Brown’s comments and she ripped Brown apart for making ignorant claims.

The Still Over It singer jumped into the comment section of The Shade Room‘s post and spoke out her mind, as he entailed how she faced racism in her career. Summer Walker talked about how she was fired from a job for her appearance thereby proving Brown’s comments wrong.

He’s lost it. I got fired from a job once for wearing my Afro, the manager said it reminded her of Erykah Badu, but that’s not the look they were going for, along with mentioning, that’s not the style I had when they ‘hired me,’ I’ll never forget it.
