The incident happened when Jamaal Williams scored a touchdown against the Vikings which they later lost 28-24. Williams was pumping and thrusting his hips in the air with added momentum.

This was very offensive and not children-friendly according to the NFL and the Lions RB was charged with a hefty fine of $13,261. When Jamaal Williams was asked about the incident he simply said that he does it every time and gets away with it.

Key and Peele is a comedy sketch show on comedy central. There were reports that Jamaal Williams had copied his dance from the highly offensive show. Williams later replied that those were his moves and he’s been doing them before Key and Peele.

“I’ve been doing this forever. So now my stuff is correlated to (‘Key & Peele’), and nothing against them, but that’s mine.” Jamaal Williams stated. “That’s my hips. And it’s not even thrusting. It’s more like a wave, you know? Thrusting is more like (this). Mine’s more like a wave.”

Jamaal Williams believes that he should get away with it as it’s not copied and he’s been doing it for a long time. “I’ve been getting away with it all these years. But now they want to bust me for it? I was pissed. I was sad and disappointed in myself because I gave the team a penalty — an unsportsmanlike penalty.” Jamaal Williams added.

As far as the celebration goes, it was one of the most bizarre and unnecessary celebrations in the NFL in a long time.
