The New York Jets are in it to win it (the Super Bowl) this season and have already taken rapid strides to improve their roster for the upcoming 2023/24 NFL season. In particular, the franchise has pinpointed their offensive stocks that need serious attention and have already brought in two big names, in the form of Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman.
The two free-agent wide receivers will add a huge deal of depth to an outfit that seemed completely out of sorts in offensive play ideas on the gridiron last season. And it feels like they aren’t done yet, with the big impending signing of free agent wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr.
The 30-year-old has been out of action in the NFL since the Super Bowl LVI game in 2022, between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. Odell Beckham Jr suffered an Anterior cruciate ligament tear, in the first quarter of the game and missed the entirety of the last season.
New York Jets have reportedly finalized the signing of Odell Beckham Jr

Last season, OBJ looked all set to return during the postseason games but failed to prove his fitness in time for the franchises to offer him a deal. However, a few months have passed since then, and the wide receiver already held a private workout session that was attended by a dozen franchises.
ESPN NFL analyst Jeff Darlington spoke about the potential marriage between OBJ and the Jets, and it could be very soon that the move gets officially announced. Speaking on the ‘Get Up’ show, Darlington claimed that the Jets are after Odell, despite having secured the two wide receivers early on during the offseason.
“We should very much consider Odell Beckham Jr. still on the table as an option for the New York Jets,” Darlington said. “In fact, we can go even further to say that both sides would still like to see this done.”
The Jets’ offense line could be quite a sight to behold on the gridiron if they manage to pull off the Odell Beckham Jr trade, especially after they’ve almost acquired the services of quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.
Although the deal hasn’t been finalized yet, the quarterback himself brought the cat out of the bag last week, revealing that only the final details need settling. The 39-year-old will add another dimension to the Jets’ offense along with the star-studded wideout lineups.
