J.K Dobbins is a young and talented running back who features for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. He played college football at Ohio State and was able to attract quite a few eyeballs with his performances. As a result, he was roped in by Ravens back in 2020.

Standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall, Dobbins is just 23 years old and already has quite a few accolades to his name. However, the RB suffered a torn ACL last year in August during a game against the Washington Football Team that pushed his progress back a little bit.

Without a doubt, Dobbins is a major part of the Ravens and they are eagerly waiting for him to take the field again. However, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport recently reported that although the RB is pushing as hard as he can, it is highly unlikely that he will be ready for week 1.

RB JK Dobbins is no sure thing for Week 1. He hasn’t had any setbacks. But his knee injury was a serious one, and Baltimore has no incentive to rush him back. They protected themselves with veteran Mike Davis, regardless,” Ian claimed. In fact, Ian was so sure about his report that he went on to claim that Dobbins might even miss out on week 2 and 3.

After Ian’s report went viral, Dobbins decided to take the matter in his own hands. He took to Twitter and wrote, “okay I’m tired of being quiet… come to me for your source Ian Rapoport because I might not even go on PUP because that’s how good my rehab is going.”

Not only this, Dobbins went on to add that he is 100% about getting back on the field by week 1. “I’m damn sure going to be ready for week 1,” he wrote on Twitter. Well, if you are a Ravens fan, this update by Dobbins will surely cheer you up, however, we can’t assume the same reaction from Ian Rapoport whose report was categorically quashed by the running back.
