Joe Burrow is currently one of the most well known QBs in the NFL who offers a promising future. The young QB has been groundbreaking since being drafted and has often been compared to the great Tom Brady on many occasions.

This has been possible due to his temperament and the way he deals with pressure. The Cincinnati Bengals QB has been a revelation for the team and has helped the team reach the AFC championship game for two seasons straight while also being in one Super Bowl final.

Burrow is up for a contract extension as the Bengals have recently picked up a 5th-year option on him worth 29.5 million. However, he is speculated to be the highest-paid in the NFL after signing his new contract.

According to a report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, negotiations have commenced between the Bengals and Burrow’s agents. The deal is speculated to be groundbreaking and maybe the highest.

“I’m told the Bengals have made their initial push to sign Joe Burrow,” Fowler stated. “Burrow will no doubt be the highest paid player in the NFL once his deal gets done.”

The current highest-paid player in the NFL is Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson who earns around $52 million a year after signing a new lucrative deal recently. Although Joe Burrow deserves all the money he gets paid, the young QB has put his team first and believes in taking a team-friendly deal.

Although the reports suggest that Joe Burrow is set to be the highest-paid player, the QB himself has stated the exact opposite and wants the Bengals to build the team first. Each team has a set amount that they can spend each season due to the salary cap. Burrow believes that his team should focus on getting other contracts done before dealing with him.

The 26-year-old QB has already devoted his future to Cincinnati and wants to create a legacy with them by winning numerous Super Bowls. Money is secondary for Burrow, who is currently chasing greatness in his pursuit. However, the NFL is ever-changing and anything can happen at any moment.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals are currently under negotiations. The groundbreaking news will be broken in a couple of days and people will find out about the content of his new contract.
