There’s a lot of negativity going around right now surrounding the AFC Championship between the Joe Burrow-led Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs, which is scheduled for Sunday. From fans going against each other to players getting chirpy, this game has created a lot of buzz around the league. Furthermore, even the city mayors went back and forth on social media.

The Cincinnati Mayor started a storm on social media when he made a proclamation for the star quarterback Joe Burrow, who is undefeated against the Chiefs in his NFL career. “Be it proclaimed, whereas the Cincinnati Bengals are headed to Burrowhead Stadium for their second consecutive AFC Championship Game. … Whereas Joseph Lee Burrow, who is 3-0 against Mahomes, has been asked by officials to take a paternity test confirming whether or not he’s his father,” Pureval said.

This classless statement by a Mayor warranted heavy backlash from many people, including Kansas Mayor Quinton Lucas and Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes. “WEAK. & embarrassing,” wrote Brittany referring to Aftab Pureval‘s embarrassing attempt at dissing the Chiefs QB.

Amidst all this negativity, Joe Burrow’s dad shared a childhood photo of him rocking a Chiefs’ helmet to spread some positivity. “Joe watching an Iowa Barnstormer game with his Mom. Won’t be wearing that helmet Sunday. Who Dey,” tweeted Jimmy Burrow with his son’s childhood photo.

The defending AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals will be heading to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs led by the MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Conference Championship game.

This is the second consecutive year the Bengals have made it to the AFC Championship game, and it’s the fifth straight conference Championship game for the Kansas-based football team.

The Bengals will be missing two of their starting offensive linemen but still, have enough firepower in their offense to score big during the playoff game. Their receiving unit led by WR Ja’Marr Chase is one of the best in the league and can ball out against any defense on any given Sunday.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, are healthy for the most part except for their QB Patrick Mahomes. Their head coach Andy Reid has said that he’s trending in the right direction toward being able to suit up against a fairly tough Bengals’ defense led by their star defensive end, Trey Hendrickson.

Nevertheless, the Chiefs will be a tough team to beat, especially in the Arrowhead (or Burrowhead according to Bengals fans) with or without their franchise QB. However, the Bengals will play with everything they got during their Championship game against them on Sunday.
