On Monday, the Minnesota Vikings led by their new quarterback Joshua Dobbs suffered a brutal last-minute loss against their AFC North division rivals, Chicago Bears. In the crucial week 12 game, Dobbs put up one of the worst performances of his career as he registered multiple interceptions, leading to a loss for the Vikings.

Both teams struggled a lot in what turned out to be a defensive showdown. In fact, Joshua Dobbs and the Vikings managed to score the only touchdown in the game. But the Bears managed to score a few field goals, which ultimately led to the Bears winning the matchup against their rivals.

In the game, Dobbs completed 22 of his 32 pass attempts for just 185 passing yards, and 1 interception while throwing 4 interceptions against the struggling Bears team. Despite his sloppy performance, the Vikings’ defense managed to keep them in the contest till the last minute. Dobbs even brought some life to Minnesota’s offense in the last few minutes and gave his team a one-point lead.

But Justin Fields and the Bears managed to get into field goal range in the final minutes of the game. With just 10 seconds left in the matchup, the Bears’ kicker Cairo Santos managed to convert a 30-yard FG attempt and led his team to a victory.

On the flip side, the Vikings suffered a brutal loss and fell to a flat 6-6 record. But, they are still in the hunt for a postseason spot and will continue their journey following their bye in week 13. Their head coach Kevin O’ Connell was not impressed by Dobbs’ performance and did not commit to Dobbs continuing as the starting quarterback of his team.

O’Connell said that he will evaluate every position in the bye week before making a decision about his team. He further said that the rookie QB Jaren Hall is still in competition for the starting QB role.
