“Those outside of the facility, they don’t know what’s going on at practice”: Justin Fields gives a fitting reply to all the critics counting the Chicago Bears out

The Chicago Bears have had a mediocre offseason, the team ended up losing one of their top wideouts in Allen Robinson to the Los Angeles Rams in free agency. The squad does not have a lot of weapons on the offensive end, but they have a very talented quarterback in Justin Fields who showed a lot of promise last season. However, there is only so much that he can do along, with Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle as his best weapons, most critics believe that the Bears have no shot to have a winning season.

The organization’s front office has received a lot of flak from fans and others alike for not making any blockbuster moves on the defensive or offensive end of the ball. If you look at the rosters in that division, none of the opponents are sweating when they see the Bears on their roster and they do not really have any reason to. The team is at best average on paper, however, the team’s quarterback Justin Fields begs to differ.

The Bears do not have any big-time players on the roster, you probably do not even know more than two players on their defensive squad. Despite the team lacking Pro Bowl and superstar players, Justin Fields believes that this Bears squad is talented enough to get the job done. Now that is a big statement.

“We don’t have an Odell (Beckham Jr) or a Cooper Kupp on our team, but at the end of the day, I think if everybody is on their P’s and Q’s, and we’re on top of everything and not making mistakes, the players we have right now are good enough,” Fields said to Bleacher Report. As long as you execute the playbook to perfection, you do not need big names, just look at the Bengals squad that made it to the Super Bowl, granted they had a solid QB along with weapons as well but they were underdogs and nobody could even fathom seeing them make it that far.

Fields went on to add, “The front office thinks that, too. The fans outside of the facility, don’t know what’s going on at practice. Just because we don’t have a big-name guy, doesn’t mean those guys aren’t talented. I have plenty of confidence in myself and my teammates that we’re going to get the job done.”

Fields appears very confident in his abilities and what this squad is capable of achieving, we hope that his statement does turn out to be true as there is nothing better than an underdog story in sports. We will have to wait and watch how the Chicago Bears fare in this NFL season.
