Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen had to go through an ugly divorce after a blissful marriage of 13 years. The former NFL power couple parted ways due to personal reasons.
However, many believe Brady‘s unretirement to be the primary reason behind their divorce. After their divorce, Gisele often spoke about the former NFL QB’s absence from the family.
Regardless, model Kate Upton has a completely different analogy when it comes to extremely successful athlete husbands. Upton has been married to MLB pitcher Justin Verlander for a long time now and has often supported her husband throughout his MLB journey.
“I love watching my husband do what he loves to do,” Kate Upton told David Ortiz after the former ball player asked her if she wanted Verlander to retire or to play one more year. “It’s such an incredible experience, I mean, having Justin home, and being able to be together as a family is so amazing, and then to go to the exact extreme, and be here at the World Series.”
This statement was meant as a subtle dig at Gisele Bundchen, who has often called out Brady for his absence. The 45-year-old QB rejoined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after mere months of his ‘first retirement’ and maybe that was the final shot that led to their divorce.
However, NFL and MLB are two completely different leagues that play completely different sports. Therefore, it was not a fair comparison. Still, social media had a great time roasting Bundchen for being ‘intolerant’ towards her former husband, Tom Brady.

Post their divorce, both Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have stayed away from getting into romantic relationships. Although, they have been rumored with many a-list celebrities. Especially Brady, who had been rumored to be dating reality star Kim Kardashian.
The former power couple also took joint custody of their children. Brady and Bundchen have also stated that family and friends are their priorities at the moment.
The Super Bowl winner retired from the NFL this season and since then has devoted his entire time towards spending more time with his family and friends. While many argue about the potential reasons behind Tom Brady’s and Gisele Bundchen’s divorce, the real reason will probably be revealed anytime soon.
