Lamar Jackson has been one of the most controversial QBs of this offseason. The Ravens QBs rookie contract was up this offseason and he needed a big money contract.

However, the Ravens weren’t willing to offer a big contract to Jackson and instead franchise-tagged him. What’s even worse, that no other team in the NFL approached the 26-year old QB for his signature.

Jackson desired a contract just like the Browns QB Deshaun Watson, that offered around $200 million in guaranteed money. The QB thinks that he deserves that kind of money and has even proved his worth on the field. Jackson is one of the best rushing QBs of all time after just starting out in the NFL.

Therefore, the MVP award winner called out everyone with his recent tweet where he proved his love for the game.

“I don’t remember me sitting out on my guys week 1 vs jets To week 12 vs Broncos. How come all of a sudden I sit out because of money in which I could’ve got hurt at anytime within that time frame. When we know the Super Bowl been on my mind since April 2018,” Lamar Jackson stated in a tweet.

Jackson got injured at the latter end of the last season where he picked up a PCL injury. Sadly, many thought that it was just a facade by Jackson and he wanted an excuse to not play for the team as he didn’t get his favored contract.

The Lamar Jackson drama doesn’t seem to end and has been going on for months now. There can be many reasons for this. However, the most prominent reason is that the QB doesn’t have an agent who can negotiate his deal for him.

Jackson himself is his agent and that makes things very complicated for other teams who are used to dealing with NFLPA certified agents. On the other hand, people on social media have also made many claims calling out the young QB for purposely not playing for the team.

The 26-year old had a reply ready for all those haters, who criticized the QB. Jackson stated in a recent tweet that he would never force himself to play with an injury and endanger his friends in the process as football is a team sport.

“Let’s get real. I rather have a 100% PCL than go out there and play horrible forcing myself to put my guys in a bad situation now that’s selfish to me.,” Lamar Jackson stated in a tweet.

The young Ravens QB has massive dreams and wants to win the Super Bowl in the NFL. He’s also got the right skills. Now, it’s just a matter of a right contract that get’s offered to him.
