Now, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport’s latest report, Jimmy G is expected to be fully cleared after the disastrous shoulder injury he sustained by mid-august. This will allow around a month to the 49ers to figure out a trade for the QB. There are speculations that the 49ers might offer him a significantly reduced deal, however, there is little doubt about the fact that the franchise is going to show faith in Trey Lance.

As per NFL Insider Mike Florio, in case the 49ers contemplate releasing Garoppolo after he is cleared from the injury, he will be in a really tough spot, tougher than Baker Mayfield who has found solace in Jacksonville. It will be interesting to see which franchise ends up showing interest in Jimmy.
