This year, the story is similar for the Cowboys, who are going into the season as firm contenders for the playoffs and even the conference. The Cowboys have a rich history and are the most-followed team in the country. However, they have always fallen short of producing results.
Mina Kimes of ESPN believes that the story will be different this year and has all the praise for the Cowboys’ defense. According to her, the Dallas-based team currently has one of the strongest defenses in the NFL.
Kimes recently featured on NFL on ESPN and raved about the Cowboy’s spectacular defense. She first praised the arrival of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn who is making a return to the team, Kimes believes he’ll be a great addition.
The NFL analyst also spoke about the Cowboys defensive signings. especially the arrival of Mazi Smith, who was drafted by the team this season, and Stephon Gilmore, who is an exciting player. According to Mina Kime’s assessment, the Cowboys have the third-best defense in the league and can comfortably win games with their defense alone. However, it’s still unsure if they will be able to replicate these stats in actual games.
