According to a report by the New York Post, the man responsible for breaking the news of Aaron Rodgers’ decision to seek a trade to the New York Jets before everyone has signed a new contract with the broadcasting giants is worth a whopping $85 million, a fee he will receive for a period of five years.
Pat McAfee is yet to release the original contract details in newly signed deal with ESPN

One of the most popular analysts of NFL, NBA, and WWE, the 36-year-old however did not agree with the various reports of the value of his new contract. Although he is yet to confirm what his new contract with ESPN is worth, he made a brutal attack on all of these reports, calling them out for stating all the wrong facts.
Pat McAfee took to his official Instagram account, to slam New York Post reporter named, Andrew Marchand, who had claimed that the new contract with ESPN was worth only $85 million, a number that is significantly lesser than his previous one with FanDuel. McAfee accused Marchand of throwing darts at a board, which had been taken as the Gospel truth by the other reporters, who have cited the same figure in their subsequent reports.
“None of the numbers that have been reported about the deal I negotiated with ESPN for us have been right..including this one”.
“It’s Andrew Marchand throwing darts at a dart board and everybody else reporting it as if it’s real. Our market was already set, as I knew exactly what we could make if we were to remain independent.. and we take a lot of pride in the fact that we will work our asses off to be worth every single penny and more.”
It is clear as crystal that Pat McAfee wasn’t pleased with reporters devaluing him and wanted to give out a loud and clear message to everyone. For the fans of his show, it will now be an interesting wait as to what new changes he makes to the podcast when his new contract starts.
