Rob Gronkowski has definitely made a name or himself at the highest level. Not long ago, the superstar of the game announced his retirement from the NFL for the second time. After 11 seasons in the league that comprised of four Super Bowl titles, four First-team All-Pro, and a plethora of records, Gronk as he’s affectionately called by his teammates decided to end his glorious journey.

Gronkowski had initially retired back in 2019 when his longtime teammate and close friend Tom Brady left the New England Patriots to join the Buccaneers. The 33-year-old tight end had cited mental and physical issues as the reason for his retirement which he suffered during his 9-year-long stint with the New England Patriots.

However, Rob soon decided to come out of retirement to play alongside his great friend Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. As we all know, Brady unretired and is set to play in the 2022 season, so it was evident that fans will speculate if even Gronk will come out of the retirement yet again to reunite with Tom. However, in an interaction with ESPN’s Mike Reiss a little while ago, Gronk stated that he is in no mood this time to take the field again.

However, Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek , a few days ago, said something which again led the fans into believing that the legendary TE might unretire again. “I am an honest lady, and honestly, in my heart, I didn’t feel like this one is a forever one. So, I think maybe he’ll come back again,” Kostek said, as reported by Sports Illustrated.

Now, even former Patriots star Logan Ryan has opined that it doesn’t seem like Gronk’s career has actually reached the end point. Recently, Ryan appeared on Good Morning Football where he claimed he “wouldn’t close the door” on the legendary QB’s career yet. “I wouldn’t close the door, but I definitely think that he’s at peace with his career.”

“He’s a Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest tight end of all time. I’ve been with him, I’ve seen what he’s played through and his body has been beat up through the years,” he claimed as reported by ProFootballTalk. Ryan added that players in the modern era do take breaks in order to bounce back with all their might.

You never know, players are taking ownership nowadays and reporting their own news. They’re taking breaks, they’re taking hiatuses and coming back to the sport. And you’re allowed to do that. Either way, I’m proud of Gronk. I’m happy for Gronk. He’s definitely the greatest tight end that I’ve ever played with,” he further stated.
