Herschel Walker is the new Republican Candidate for the senate from the state of Georgia. Walker was a former running back in the NFL. In a recent interview, Walker was asked about the ad which featured his ex-wife and the republican candidate had an interesting response.

The commercial described how Walker held a gun to her wife’s temple and threatened to blow her brains out. Walker feels that he was ‘attacked’ and said “they are attacking me because they think I will win.”I’m gonna be the one who wins that seat.”They continue to bring up things that happened a long time ago.” Walker further stated, “I’ll continue to fight for mental health in this country.”

Herschel Walker also wrote a book in 2008 about his own struggle with mental health and the book also highlighted his diagnosis and struggle with Dissociative Personality Disorder.

The former Viking has also taken accountability for his past violence towards his ex-wife, he also opened up about having different personalities and thought of harming himself and others.

Herschel Walker posted a new video through Fox news where he stated that the opposition dug out an old video and took it out of context. “My opponents think they’re hurting me — but I am glad they did this ad.” Walker further added.

The video also included included Walker saying “my ex-wife Cindy and I are good friends — along with her husband and my wife. And I am grateful for all the support Cindy gave me during the hardest time of my life. I came forward back then in an effort to save lives, save marriages – to help other people.”

Herschel Walker played 12 seasons in the NFL as a running back and was part of teams like the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles among many others.
