Aaron Rodgers could use Odell Beckham Jr. on his roster as his recieving core has been underwhelming this season.
The Green Bay Packers have not looked this bad in a long time. The team has seemed to not get anything right this season, be it the defense, the offense, or the play calling. Blame it on Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett or the team’s lackluster defense, the biggest issue for the team remains to be the performance of the offense. Aaron Rodgers may be considering retirement halfway through the season as he does not have any wide receivers to throw the football to.
The veteran quarterback is throwing to aging receivers such as Randall Cobb and apart from him, he has to deal with younger rookies and inexperienced wideouts such as Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. Allen Lazard is a good player, but he has not done much for the offense this season.

“A-Rod needs more weapons”: Richard Sherman believes the Green Bay Packers need to trade for more receivers to give Aaron Rodgers a chance to win.
It comes as no surprise that the Packers lost their game against the New York Giants despite having a 10-point lead at halftime. The offense could not get anything done in clutch moments and the chemistry between Aaron Rodgers and his receiver core has failed to click this season.
It has become evident that the team needs to get more weapons for their quarterback, and Richard Sherman agrees. The former NFL cornerback believes the Packers need to make the strongest push to get Odell Beckham Jr. via his podcast. Odell Beckham Jr. is not playing and is a free agent. He is ineligible to sign with any team until he is fit enough to clear his physical, which is hard considering he tore his ACL in the Super Bowl.
Here’s what Richard Sherman had to say, “I would’ve never had Daniel Jones beating A-Rod (Aaron Rodgers). A-Rod needs more weapons, and they’re(Green Bay Packers) going to have to make a trade, (Christian) Watson got hurt early in the game, they’re going to have to make a trade, they tried to go in and make it happen with these young guys. They’re depending on the old guard, they’re probably calling Odell every second of the day and I’m sure A-Rod is sending him the ‘Hey Stranger, you up?’ text every day. I know he has to be because he needs it, he needs Odell. OBJ would make a huge difference to this Green Bay Packers team.
Sherman is right, no other team could use OBJ more than the Packers and Rodgers in particular would be doing everything in his power to make sure that the team has a good chance of landing him. However, there is one issue, Odell would not want to sign a long-term deal with the team as Rodgers’ future remains uncertain, but he may remain open to signing a short-term deal for this season.
Considering OBJ cannot take a call until at least November on which team he would wish to play for, there is a lot of time but during that time of the year, teams would get more competitive and be willing to offer Odell whatever he wants as they will all be trying to make a playoff push. It remains to be seen what the fate of the Packers is because, at this rate, they have a tough schedule and a very long road ahead.
