“He’s the best in the game,” Cooper Rush in AWE of Aaron Donald ahead of Week-5 Cowboys-Rams clash

“He’s the best in the game,” Cooper Rush in AWE of Aaron Donald ahead of Week-5 Cowboys-Rams clash

Aaron Donald Cooper Rush

Cooper Rush is on a roll. The Dallas Cowboys‘ back-up quarterback was thrust into the starting role when Dak Prescott suffered a thumb injury and subsequently underwent surgery for the same. Rush surprisingly has been quite good and is undefeated since taking over the team, but Rush and the Cowboys have a tough task ahead when they face defending Super Bowl Champions LA Rams.

The Rams defense should be a cause of worry for the Cowboys with #99 Aaron Donald, the most dominant defensive player in the game for nearly a decade now. Three times defensive player of the year, Donald is a force to be reckoned with and Rush understands that. He would be hoping that the formidable Cowboys O-line, led by one of the best in the game right guard Zack Martin, would be enough to keep him safe.

“He’s a game wrecker” Cooper Rush on Aaron Donald

Cooper Rush spoke about Aaron Donald at length per Cowboys.com before the game and appreciated the future Hall of Famer-“He’s a true game-wrecker. He’s the best in the game for a reason. You have to account for him in the run game and in the pass game. He’s the best to ever do it at that position and it shows every week on tape. We have a good plan, but it’s going to take execution.”

Rush wasn’t the only Cowboy appreciating Donald. Another defensive superstar and a man many claim could end up being better than Donald, Micah Parsons also spoke about Donald and why he can’t do things that Donald does-

“I can’t study him because I can’t do what he does. He’s just so fundamental – can go from speed to power and then power to speed. He has great hands, and he’s doing all of this at almost 300 pounds. I mean, golly, what do you do? He’s terrorized the league for so long.

The Cowboys may have a decent plan to stop Donald from wrecking havoc on their offense and their Quarterback but any plan needs execution and Rush would be hoping that they do. Donald just needs a moment to change the game and any mistake on the Cowboys O-line’s part will be enough for Donald to take advantage.
